The following is a response to Meghan Murphy's post.
Where am I? Disabled, live in a remote rural area. Suspended from Twitter last week for saying that TIFs are not notorious for trying to push their way into men's safe spaces while TIMs are constantly pushing their way into women's safe spaces.
I don't know that I want to go back to Twitter even if the suspension is lifted.
I don't hate transsexuals. I never did. I hate this bullshit movement that's really nothing but the same old misogyny covered in glitter and reframed as progressive.
I'm on Spinster but have spent a shocking amount of time and energy blocking stupid incels who have hijacked the platform to try and own women with the same tired old MRA "talking" points: Stacy, Chad, the "cock carousel," and no fat chicks hurr hurr hurr. Twitter is a bastion of mostly left-wing woman-hating wokesters while Spinster is polluted by creepy-ass right-wing incels.
I try to keep fighting because it's so important that what rights women have managed to win not be taken from us, but I feel utterly alone most of the time. Social media has proven bad for my mental health and I've taken a step back from it. It's all very discouraging.
I'm nearly 60 years old and the work that women have done to be recognized as equals in society are being eroded by the New Misogyny at an alarming rate. In some ways, things are worse for women than ever. Attacking us is now framed as "progressive," whereas any attempts on our parts to decry our silencing and erasure are framed as "hate speech" resulting in social ostracization, loss of livelihood, and even threats to our safety.
