FOAD Thursday: Disney Plus can FOAD

I am so tired of seeing breast binding and worse, double mastectomy being performed on psychologically vulnerable teenage girls, being normalized.

The Twanz Cult would have you believe that people like me want the right to ridicule gender-confused teenagers. Far from it. Nobody should be doing that. What these girls need and deserve is a compassionate adult who will hear them out and give them coping tools, not an ideologically captured shill for the childhood Tran$ition Brigade.

I was not gender-confused, but I was psychologically troubled as a teenager. I had an eating disorder. I was cutting and I had nobody I could turn to because the one time I trusted the school counselor and showed her the cuts on my arms, she immediately called my mother even though I begged her not to. Of course when I got home I got yelled at and got no help, which is what I knew would happen. I was eventually put in a psych hospital for a time and treated like a sub-human. This is why I don't necessarily advocate for revealing everything to parents. Sometimes it makes things worse.

I just wonder how many of these transboys are being bullied and/or have been sexually harassed or sexually assaulted. I was bullied mercilessly all through school because I was socially awkward and not pretty. I was sexually assaulted by an older guy when I was 15 but didn't acknowledge it as sexual assault because the penetration was digital, not PIV. It took me 40 years to realize that my self-harm and other acting out got turned up to 11 after that incident because I was suffering from PTSD.

There is no such thing as a man who menstruates, and cutting off a teenage girl's healthy breasts will not make psychological comorbidities or events creating a climate for complex PTSD disappear.

And now, please excuse me while I go cancel my Disney Plus subscription. I've been meaning to do so for a while. This is the kick in the ass that I need.

Here is the reason that I gave Disney Plus for why I was canceling my subscription.

I cannot continue to support a company that has been ideologically captured by the extremist gender cult. The episode of Baymax promoting the idea that "men have periods" was the last straw. Recognizing biological reality is not bigotry, and transgender ideology should not be pushed at children.

I am not a right-wing extremist. I am a registered Democrat who believes in equality for all. Promoting a dangerous ideology that reinforces sex stereotypes and encourages young girls to take cross-sex hormones and have their healthy breasts removed is not equality.

Aside from that, the subscription is simply too expensive. I live on disability payments. I have felt conflicted about having this subscription for a while, but I'm definitely done now.

The BBC Promotes Transing Children

Written in response to a post by Stephanie Davies-Arai on Transgender Trend.

https://www.transgendertrend.com/bbc-adult-trans-activist-agenda-children/

A million thanks, Stephanie. It's so important to keep fighting to shine the light on the truth.  The 'transwomen are women" rhetoric and the idea that there are ten million genders, one of which happens to be "woman," are terribly harmful beliefs. Without sites like Transgender Trend to provide counterpoints to these arguments, people will just accept them as fact, because if they don't, they will be branded "transphobic," which in these times is the kiss of death.

Just like phrenology and lobotomies, transgenderism is pseudoscience.  Just like thalidomide and antidepressants, puberty blockers are dangerous medications that should not be prescribed without very careful consideration. Yet just like thalidomide and antidepressants, puberty blockers are being touted as not only safe but "life-saving," and anyone who dares question their use is demonized.

I am not saying that there aren't people who feel that medical transition is the only way to overcome their dysphoria, but it should be the last resort, not the first option. Children should never be put on puberty blockers or have healthy body parts removed because of dysphoria.

Reactionary Left Groupthink Smells Like 1984

Doublethink

The keyword here is blackwhite. Like so many Newspeak words, this word has two mutually contradictory meanings. Applied to an opponent, it means the habit of impudently claiming that black is white, in contradiction of the plain facts. Applied to a Party member, it means a loyal willingness to say that black is white when Party discipline demands this. But it means also the ability to believe that black is white, and more, to know that black is white, and to forget that one has ever believed the contrary. This demands a continuous alteration of the past, made possible by the system of thought which really embraces all the rest, and which is known in Newspeak as doublethink. Doublethink is basically the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.

The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism, credited to the character Emmanuel Goldstein, is the fictional book that is a thematic and plot element in Part 2, Chapter 9 of the dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984), by George Orwell.

When applied to the TRA madness, men are women, women have penises, biological sex is a social construct rather than physical reality, and if you believe otherwise, you will be branded a TERF and ostracized. Never mind that in a medical setting, denial of biological reality can be harmful and even deadly.
Further, women who do not want to have sex with people who have penises (lesbians) are transphobes and should be bullied and made to feel bad for their sexual preference according to the TRA screed, and the reactionary left does not seem at all bothered by the severe homophobia inherent in this assertion.
Ten years ago, nobody claimed that trans women were literally biological women. Everyone knew that they were biologically male, but it was understood that their dysphoria regarding their sex was so severe that the only way they could overcome it was to have surgical procedures and hormone treatments to make their bodies resemble female bodies. Liberal-minded people felt that tolerance and inclusion was the best option with regard to transgender people.
Ten years ago, no-one used idiotic and dehumanizing terms like "menstruators" in reference to women. It also astounds me that very few people have caught on to the fact that no such dehumanizing terms are applied to biological men. You never hear anyone insisting on terms like "sperm producers." The reactionary left never questions why erasure of women is okay, but no-one is insisting on similar erasure of men.
There is plenty of insistence that "trans women are women" and should, therefore, be allowed to co-opt feminism and any woman who is resistant to this notion is a TERF and deserves to be bullied.
I have never seen a "trans men are men" sign. In fact, trans men tend to only be mentioned when doing so somehow benefits certain pushy TRA women.
Not supporting the insane TRA groupthink agenda is not transphobia. It is a refusal to be drawn into a very frightening, McCarthyist level of forced conformity to harmful ideals. One can be both supportive of the very real struggles of trans people and opposed to the current TRA culture which does far more harm than good, particularly where vulnerable young people who may be questioning their sexuality are concerned.

Letter by Tavistock Clinicians Suppressed by The Guardian

This letter sent to The Guardian by Tavistock clinicians concerned with the health risks that come with transing children was never published. The Guardian, like other mainstream media, is afraid of upsetting their masters, the TRA cult.

Read the letter at Transgender Trend, a group committed to exposing the TRA lies and harms.

My guess is the main reason girls want to or are pushed to transition is not wanting to be treated the way girls and women in modern society are treated. I know I didn't want to be. I secretly started identifying as a feminist when I was eight years old. I was labeled a "tomboy," which I hated. I would always say: "my name isn't Tom, and I'm not a boy."

The concept of "penis envy" made me see red. During my prepubescent years, the only thing I thought a penis would be useful for was being able to stand up to pee and not have to drop my trousers and crouch behind a tree when my family and I went hiking, risking being seen by a passerby or getting poison ivy on my butt.

Once I hit puberty and started my period, a hell which would continue every 3-4 weeks for the next 40 years, I would joke that I wanted to turn into a fabulous gay dude every week until my period was done. His name would be Karl, and somehow, even though I was a dumpy, frumpy, very plain Jane, Karl would be beautiful and amazing and all the guys would want him. I wasn't serious about this, I just hated my period.

These days, I'm quite sure I would have been pushed to transition, even though if I was asked I would have affirmed that I was perfectly fine with being female, it's simply that I hate how girls are treated.

In Support of Dr. Michele Moore

McCarthyist indeed.
There is a big push to make every aspect of life, every choice a person makes, gendered. A little girl who likes playing with trucks is certainly a boy. A boy who loves to crochet is certainly a girl.
I became a feminist because I wanted to get away from this sort of narrow-minded thinking and because I was tired of being told what girls can't do.
I was always fine with being a girl. I wasn't always fine with being a girl who likes boys because a lot of the time boys treated me like garbage, but I couldn't change the way I was wired. (I tried.) I was not fine with being told I couldn't be an air force pilot because I have ovaries. (This was in the early 1980s.) I wasn't fine with being told that my only aspirations in life should be to make babies and make sure my husband has a nice hot meal and to make sure that my house looked like a pictorial from Good Housekeeping.
Feminism was supposed to be an ideology for the advancement of equal opportunities and better treatment for women. I never minded fighting for equal opportunities and better treatment of trans people too. Hell, I was always willing to accept trans people as they were, to call them by their chosen names and to refer to them using their preferred pronouns. I don't know exactly when the feminist movement got co-opted by TRA extremists, but it extremely distressing.
The left needs to stop kowtowing to these violent extremists. That's the only chance we have of stopping them.
I support Dr. Michele Moore in being a voice for vulnerable young people.
