FML Friday: Bring Back Common Sense

https://odysee.com/@Radfemspiraling_Jayne:1/xy-are-not-women-:a?r=GTwnGJ4fFBQfzuJgpHVpfKBKaC9b8B16

Common god damn sense. If only everyone had the courage and the clarity of mind to say it out loud from the beginning of this nonsense.

I include myself in the people who wanted to "be kind" and didn't really realize what was going on. I thought I was showing compassion to a tiny minority of people (transsexuals) who were "born in the wrong body" and just wanted to live their lives and be treated with common decency.

Instead, I was supporting a misogynistic and homophobic ideology that gives $$$ to a greedy medical system and advances the causes of a very vocal minority of perverts.

To be clear, I don't think most transsexuals are perverts. I think that most of them are being taken advantage of by soulless predators benefiting from their pain. I do, however, realize that there are some very creepy autogynephiles out there, some of whom are also pedophiles. These are the perverts I'm talking about.

FOAD Thursday: Disney Plus can FOAD

Image copyright Disney
https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2022/06/29/disney-animated-childrens-series-baymax-features-transgender-man-who-menstruates/

I am so tired of seeing breast binding and worse, double mastectomy being performed on psychologically vulnerable teenage girls, being normalized.

The Twanz Cult would have you believe that people like me want the right to ridicule gender-confused teenagers. Far from it. Nobody should be doing that. What these girls need and deserve is a compassionate adult who will hear them out and give them coping tools, not an ideologically captured shill for the childhood Tran$ition Brigade.

I was not gender-confused, but I was psychologically troubled as a teenager. I had an eating disorder. I was cutting and I had nobody I could turn to because the one time I trusted the school counselor and showed her the cuts on my arms, she immediately called my mother even though I begged her not to. Of course when I got home I got yelled at and got no help, which is what I knew would happen. I was eventually put in a psych hospital for a time and treated like a sub-human. This is why I don't necessarily advocate for revealing everything to parents. Sometimes it makes things worse.

I just wonder how many of these transboys are being bullied and/or have been sexually harassed or sexually assaulted. I was bullied mercilessly all through school because I was socially awkward and not pretty. I was sexually assaulted by an older guy when I was 15 but didn't acknowledge it as sexual assault because the penetration was digital, not PIV. It took me 40 years to realize that my self-harm and other acting out got turned up to 11 after that incident because I was suffering from PTSD.

There is no such thing as a man who menstruates, and cutting off a teenage girl's healthy breasts will not make psychological comorbidities or events creating a climate for complex PTSD disappear.

And now, please excuse me while I go cancel my Disney Plus subscription. I've been meaning to do so for a while. This is the kick in the ass that I need.

Here is the reason that I gave Disney Plus for why I was canceling my subscription.

I cannot continue to support a company that has been ideologically captured by the extremist gender cult. The episode of Baymax promoting the idea that "men have periods" was the last straw. Recognizing biological reality is not bigotry, and transgender ideology should not be pushed at children.

I am not a right-wing extremist. I am a registered Democrat who believes in equality for all. Promoting a dangerous ideology that reinforces sex stereotypes and encourages young girls to take cross-sex hormones and have their healthy breasts removed is not equality.

Aside from that, the subscription is simply too expensive. I live on disability payments. I have felt conflicted about having this subscription for a while, but I'm definitely done now.

Only One Kind of People Become Pregnant

Nary a one of these people with long hair and heavy makeup will ever become pregnant. I wonder why.

The following is a comment I left on a post about the current danger to reproductive freedom in the United States. The spam filter ate my comment, but I always copy my comments because of aggressive spam filters. I am overall in agreement with the post. It was the title that made me balk.

http://mckennadeanromance.com/first-they-came-for-the-pregnant-people

I agree with your thoughts in the post but had my doubts when I saw the title. There is only one kind of "people" that becomes pregnant: females. No male will ever be pregnant.

I cringe at so-called "inclusive" language in women's healthcare that erases the very people said healthcare is supposed to be there for. A tiny minority of trans-identifying females (transmen) become pregnant. "Inclusive" language would add transmen rather than erasing women. As for people identifying as nonbinary, they are still either male or female. There is no third sex.

This rant isn't directed at you, only at the wording in the post title. As I said previously, I agree with the content of the post. It was well-written, detailed, thoughtful, and thought-provoking. I'm simply frustrated at the way identity politics erases women, who face prejudice because of our sex class, not our gender identity.

Women. The word you're looking for is women.
Dumping tRump is also a great idea. Let's keep him dumped.

While we're at it, here are some more people with long hair (no makeup, though) who could never get pregnant, even if they used she/her pronouns.

Performing Femininity is Not Being a Woman

Painted faces, depilated bodies, hair extensions and pumped up tits are available to all human beings. Femininity is a de-sexed masquerade. Men can be as good at it and better than women, but that does not make them women.

Reactionary Left Groupthink Smells Like 1984

Doublethink

The keyword here is blackwhite. Like so many Newspeak words, this word has two mutually contradictory meanings. Applied to an opponent, it means the habit of impudently claiming that black is white, in contradiction of the plain facts. Applied to a Party member, it means a loyal willingness to say that black is white when Party discipline demands this. But it means also the ability to believe that black is white, and more, to know that black is white, and to forget that one has ever believed the contrary. This demands a continuous alteration of the past, made possible by the system of thought which really embraces all the rest, and which is known in Newspeak as doublethink. Doublethink is basically the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.

The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism, credited to the character Emmanuel Goldstein, is the fictional book that is a thematic and plot element in Part 2, Chapter 9 of the dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984), by George Orwell.

When applied to the TRA madness, men are women, women have penises, biological sex is a social construct rather than physical reality, and if you believe otherwise, you will be branded a TERF and ostracized. Never mind that in a medical setting, denial of biological reality can be harmful and even deadly.
Further, women who do not want to have sex with people who have penises (lesbians) are transphobes and should be bullied and made to feel bad for their sexual preference according to the TRA screed, and the reactionary left does not seem at all bothered by the severe homophobia inherent in this assertion.
Ten years ago, nobody claimed that trans women were literally biological women. Everyone knew that they were biologically male, but it was understood that their dysphoria regarding their sex was so severe that the only way they could overcome it was to have surgical procedures and hormone treatments to make their bodies resemble female bodies. Liberal-minded people felt that tolerance and inclusion was the best option with regard to transgender people.
Ten years ago, no-one used idiotic and dehumanizing terms like "menstruators" in reference to women. It also astounds me that very few people have caught on to the fact that no such dehumanizing terms are applied to biological men. You never hear anyone insisting on terms like "sperm producers." The reactionary left never questions why erasure of women is okay, but no-one is insisting on similar erasure of men.
There is plenty of insistence that "trans women are women" and should, therefore, be allowed to co-opt feminism and any woman who is resistant to this notion is a TERF and deserves to be bullied.
I have never seen a "trans men are men" sign. In fact, trans men tend to only be mentioned when doing so somehow benefits certain pushy TRA women.
Not supporting the insane TRA groupthink agenda is not transphobia. It is a refusal to be drawn into a very frightening, McCarthyist level of forced conformity to harmful ideals. One can be both supportive of the very real struggles of trans people and opposed to the current TRA culture which does far more harm than good, particularly where vulnerable young people who may be questioning their sexuality are concerned.

Stop Trying to Correctively Coerce Lesbians into Having Sex with Trans Women

woman-adulthumanfemale
 anarchist-dog
okay. listen. youre all children apparently so im going to explain this to you like youre in first fucking grade.
trans people dont want you to fuck them. they arent forcing you to have sex with them, and they understand if you arent sexually attracted to them. what trans people are asking of you is to acknowledge them for who they are.
what this means is that if you find yourself interested in someone and they turn out to be transgender, you dont be an asshole because theyre transgender. instead of getting angry and using slurs and misgendering them, try saying “oh, sorry, im uncomfortable doing this now” and chances are they will be entirely respectful of your wishes. if they arent, then yell at them all you want, because thats fucked up. however, so long as you are respectful, they will be respectful back.
when trans people say “its bigoted to say a trans person cant be gay/lesbian” or when they say “its bigoted to say someone isnt gay/lesbian because theyre attracted to transgender people” they mean that its bigoted because, when that kind of thing is said, its implying that you dont believe they are that gender.
tl;dr: respect trans people and their gender. please. its not difficult. if you dont want to have sex/date a trans person, you dont have to say that aloud or be rude about it.
thank you and have a wonderful day.
 auntiewanda
You’re not forcing us to have sex with anyone but you are trying to change the definition of homosexuality and will call people who don’t play along bigots. Which is pretty fucking rude.
I have a question. Are biological sex and gender the same thing? Or different things?
 dreddigon
it aint rude to call a bigot a bigot lmfao

the general concept of being attracted to men or women does not and has never had anything to do with the physical form of their genitals, considering most normal people don’t actually see a person’s genitals before becoming attracted to that person and cis gay people are perfectly capable of enjoying genital shaped sex toys that don’t match their own while still not having a desire to be intimate with an actual person who doesn’t line up with their sexuality in terms of gender

stop trying to reduce people to a walking set of genitals you freak
 auntiewanda

the general concept of being attracted to men or women does not and has never had anything to do with the physical form of their genitals
Gee, whatever have homosexuals been stigmatized and reviled for all these centuries?
considering most normal people don’t actually see a person’s genitals before becoming attracted to that person
Most normal people can also tell a female human from a male human at a glance. And most normal people understand that female and male reproductive organs are pretty different.
 drpepper-is-a-woman
Genitals have ABSOLUTELY ALWAYS played a part in sexuality! What are you smoking?!
Heterosexuality = attraction to the opposite sex
Bisexuality = attraction to both sexes
Homosexuality = attraction to the same sex
Having a sexuality doesn’t reduce people to their genitals, what an awful and condescending thing to say. The point in bringing them up is that straight people and gay people are both only capable of being sexually attracted to one sex. It doesn’t mean they see everyone of that sex as walking genitals, it means that those are the only people who they’re able to be attracted to.
Straight women are only able to be attracted to males, this doesn’t mean they see them as walking penises lmfao, really telling how this sort of sentiment is always targeted at gay people.
You know who else implies that gay people are sexual deviants? HOMOPHOBES.
Hiding behind “trans activism” doesn’t make you any less of a bigot.
Y'all really love to use the “no one is saying you have to fuck trans people” but then go on to guilt and shame gay people for not being attracted to the opposite sex, regardless of identity. Sexuality isn’t based off social constructs like femininity or masculinity like y'all pretend they are. They are innate aspects of the human condition.
Stop being HOMOPHOBES.
 auntiewanda
Yeah pretty convenient how it’s only gay people who are accused of being “genital fetishists” or “reducing people to their genitals”.
 slysfreespeechspace
It’s madness, and it’s only getting worse.
I’m reminded of another genderist post about how said genderist went to sleep and dreamed they had short hair and they woke from this terrible dream to feel their beautiful long hair and know they were a woman. Because, after all, hair length makes you a man or a woman.
I don’t know about the rest of you “genital fetishists,” but I am fully aware that this is a woman:
image
(Mia Farrow in Rosemary’s Baby)
And this is a man:
image
(Malcolm Young, 1953 - 2017 Picture circa 2000)
Myself, I’d be attracted to the one with long hair. It’s not that I find the one with short hair unattractive. It’s not that I find her genitals gross. It’s just that I, as a heterosexual woman, am attracted to the sort of human being who has a penis, aka, a man. But, oddly enough, I’m not looking at his dick, nor even giving it much thought. I’m looking at the shape of his face. The person with the long hair is evidently a man. He doesn’t have to drop trou for that to be obvious.
It would be really gross for a woman to try and guilt-trip me into having sex with her by suggesting that I hate women if I’m not sexually attracted to people with vaginas.
It is really gross and stupid to try and guilt-trip women who are attracted to other women, aka lesbians, into having sex with people who have penises, regardless of whether those people identify as women. Just because man, you feel like a woman, it doesn’t mean that women who are exclusively attracted to women should be coerced into having sex with you.
Also, these people are setting things back to the 1950s with their insistence on rigid gender roles. “Boys have short hair, girls have long hair. Boys wear pants, girls wear dresses. Boys play with trucks, girls play with dolls.” Stop it already!

Common Sense Prevails in Scotland

This is my response to a post on Transgender Trend regarding the withdrawal of "transgender schools guidance" in Scotland.

Conflating common sense with "transphobia" needs to stop. Not pushing for extreme, physically altering measures with potentially serious negative consequences right out of the starting gate is not "transphobia."
Further, ordering girls that they must accept a boy in the changing area or risk being branded "transphobic" and, therefore, a bad person is not acceptable.
Nobody should be insensitive to a person who states that he or she is transgender. But schools were very quick to dismiss the thoughts and feelings of girls as "hysterical", which would seem an obvious indication that sexism is alive and well.
At least common sense has prevailed in this case.
Gender is not physical sex, and conflating the two leads to a myriad of problems.

Sly's WTF Wednesday: Toddlers with "Gender Dysphoria"

A response to this post on Transgender Trend.

"children “as young as two” can be diagnosed with gender dysphoria"
This is the sort of thing that made me go Peak Trans.
Children as young as two do not THINK about "gender."
If you give a child of two both "boy toys" and "girl toys" they will play with both kinds of toys.
Children of that age are not thinking about their genitals or whether they "identify" as a boy or a girl.
This nonsense is causing irreparable harm to children, and it needs to stop.
I'd like to say that people need to stop worrying about pissing off the TRA's. Unfortunately, I know that TRAs are very intimidating.
Another factor that made me go Peak Trans is the TRA intimidation tactics. Rather than rational discussion, they encourage violence. "Punch a TERF" and "die cis scum," anyone?
Other things that made me go Peak Trans:
"Sexual dimorphism is a social construct."
Sexual dimorphism is a biological fact. Rigid gender roles are a social construct. Yes, some people are intersexed, and nobody, whether "cis", "trans", or intersexed deserves to be treated with anything less than respect and common decency or to have valid opportunities to have a successful, productive, and pleasant life.
By insisting that medical personnel deny a person's biological makeup, the possibility for grave medical errors increases, such as the case in which a man--who turned out to be a trans man--turned out to be pregnant and the baby died because the ER staff did not know that the patient they were being presented with had an XX chromosome pattern, and therefore they should be checking to see if pregnancy might be the reason for said person's abdominal pain.
How is it bigotry to ask if a patient is man, woman, trans man, or trans woman? Each of these people presents with different medical needs which must be addressed properly. I guess this makes me a trans-medicalist.
The rest of it aside, the biggest factor in my going peak trans was the treatment of very young "trans" children: children who are too young to know anything about stupid gender roles imposed on them by adults.
Many of the parents of these so-called "trans kids" strike me as having psychological issues, most commonly Munchhausen by Proxy. Having an XX daughter or an XY son is boring and having a gay kid is so 1990s. But if you are the parent of a trans kid, you get to be Truly Extra Special and Brave, never mind that you may be screwing that kid up for life.
This is why I went Peak Trans.
