I Found the Source of the Trans Money | Ep. 188

Skip the first 8 minutes. She blathers on about disliking Liz Cheney and she seems to be pro-tRump. However, she is correct about the Boston Children's Hospital gender clinic mess.

Poets and Storytellers United: Writers’ Pantry #65: The Complexities of Gender Id...

Poets and Storytellers United: Writers’ Pantry #65: The Complexities of Gender Id...: Some months ago, an acquaintance stopped talking to me after I congratulated them on completing a difficult project. I didn’t even know this...

This issue is too complex for me to address my entirety of thought on it. Suffice it to say, I align with J.K. Rowling, who said she respects “every trans person’s rights to live any way that feels authentic and comfortable to them.” She went on to say she would march “if you were discriminated against on the basis of being trans. At the same time, my life has been shaped by being female. I do not believe it’s hateful to say so.”

There is a lot of misogyny in the gender identity movement, and that is my biggest problem with it. Referring to women as "menstruators," "birthing parents" and "chestfeeders" is utterly appalling to me. I also don't believe in putting children on a path to lifelong medicalization via puberty blockers, hormones, and surgery. No ethical surgeon would give a 13-year-old girl DD implants. Why do surgeons deem it ethical to remove the healthy breasts of a 13-year-old girl struggling with gender dysphoria?

Like J.K. Rowling, I have received death and rape threats and been branded a "TERF C*nt" for my concerns regarding the erasure of women and the rising number of young women wanting to take steps to transition to male.

Also like J.K. Rowling, I don't hate transgender people. My housemate is a bisexual transwoman. I'm very much a live and let live kind of person. But I think it's very dangerous to have an ideology where no-one is allowed to explore or question. Those who question gender ideology risk being ostracized, blacklisted, and even physically harmed. I consider this to be a very serious problem.

Sly's Feminist Book Club: Irreversible Damage by Abigail Shrier

If you purchase the book through this link, I will receive a small commission from Amazon.

I read this book on the Scribd platform. The following is a copy of the review that I left there.

The review section is a testimony to why this book is necessary. The conversation around gender identity has become dogmatic. Did I agree with everything the author wrote? No, I did not. But scolding and name-calling accomplish nothing. The lack of nuance and the prevalence of ad hominem attacks in many of the reviews of this book is chilling.

The push to medically transition kids reminds me of the push to prescribe psych meds to anyone experiencing any degree of depression beginning in the mid-1980s. I was critical of this trend, stating that we really had no idea what the long-term effects of these medications were. However, to speak unfavorably of these medications was to invite derision. I feel that the main parties benefiting from both blanket prescription of psych medications and fast-tracking young people for medical transition are the pharmaceutical companies.

To be critical of transition without careful consideration such as Buck Angel (a trans man) describes is not hatred of trans people. But any expression of doubt in the current trans dogma immediately leads to accusations of "transphobia." This lack of nuance helps no-one, particularly not the vulnerable young people who are sent down a path of irreversible medicalization with no consideration given at all to whether that is really in their best interest.

Whether or not one is in complete agreement with the author, she provides a necessary voice of reason regarding an issue which even the medical and scientific communities refuse to view or discuss in a nuanced fashion.

Blow Your Stack Saturday: Indoctrinate 'Em Early

This is a response to a post on Transgender Trend. They discuss the ways in which the British public school system works on indoctrinating kids into the Trans Cult starting in primary school. It is well worth the read. I have chosen a few special gems from the rhetoric being taught to today's kids.

"the things we call female produce eggs and get pregnant, while the things we call male produce sperm and don’t get pregnant."
The things we call female and the things we call male.
Not even animals, beings, or creatures, but things.
I'm screaming.

Barnados tells children that “Gender is assigned at birth, depending on biological characteristics."
For most people, "gender" is not assigned at birth. Sex is observed at birth.
Terms like "assigned male at birth" or "assigned female at birth" apply to babies with intersex conditions.

The confusion between "sex" and "gender" is perpetuating the current insanity.

"Unplanned pregnancies can occur if penis-in-vagina sex happens where the penis ejaculates sperm, and the person with the vagina also has a womb.”

GAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

The way this sentence reads, it appears that a disembodied, independently functioning penis is penetrating a "person with a vagina". Let's hope that this interlude was consensual.

“Cisgender: Someone who is male and happy being a boy or a female who is happy being a girl.”

I wasn't particularly happy being a girl, and sometimes I'm not particularly happy being a woman, but this doesn't mean I'm a man or want to be a man. It means I didn't like the way girls are belittled and sexualized and I don't like the way women are belittled and sexualized. I have been oppressed and exploited because I am "one of those things we call female." I don't like that. Why is this a surprise?

Maybe the princess boy just feels like a boy who likes to wear dresses.

Homosexual, gender-nonconforming, and even dysphoric kids really lose out in this scenario. The only ones who win are those interested in creating lifelong patients by pushing puberty blockers, hormones, and potentially debilitating surgeries.

To the Handmaiden Who Blocked me On Tumblr

I've followed your Tumblr for several years because you've pointed out ways in which the impetus for women to starve themselves to maintain bodies reminiscent of those of girls in their early teens is both misogynistic and racist. You have written about the ways that chronic dieting for women is tied into upper-class white women wanting to maintain a slender figure lest their bodies come to resemble the bodies of the black servitor class. You have written posts about the myriad of ways in which the diet industry promotes eating disorders.

Yet despite your education, intelligence, and claims of feminist ideology, there is complete cognitive dissonance when it comes to your support of trans rights activists.

The red flags went up when you first made the claim that the women who suffer most from eating disorders are trans women. No proof offered. You simply bought wholesale into the screed that Trans Women Are The Most Oppressed Of All In Every Way.

Still, I said to myself that you are an educated person well-versed in doing research. Certainly, it will become apparent to you that trans rights activists are trying to silence women with tactics such as claiming that words like menstruation, uterus, and vulva are violence against trans women. Surely an educated person such as yourself will see that using terms like "pregnant people" and "chest-feeders" is an erasure of women. Surely you will come to see that the TRAs TERF anyone who disagrees with them in the least way.

Well, that did not happen, and now I find myself wondering whether your research into the misogyny and racism inherent in diet culture isn't just more virtue signaling to earn yourself Woke Points. You refuse to examine the misogyny and violent rhetoric inherent in trans rights activism. You would rather throw women under the bus, blocking anyone who disagrees with the TRA screed, because "OP is a TERF! Block and stay safe!"

You might claim that the hatefully misogynistic screenshots of real words by TRAs and their allies found at terfisaslur.com are simply the words of a marginalized group punching back at their oppressors. What you fail to see is that this "marginalized group" is not punching back at their oppressors. Their oppressors are the same as our oppressors: the patriarchy. However, they are not lashing out at the men in power. They are lashing out at women, demanding subjugation and silence.

I was like you once. I chided women who pointed out fallacies in the TRA logic. I told myself that it was only fair that I should refer to myself as "cis" even though that term didn't sit well with me from the start. I told myself that these poor trans women were only behaving badly because of all their years of being oppressed. And of course, trans women are women! We need to be inclusive!

Then the cracks that appeared became too wide for me to ignore. You have done scientific research, yet you seem to buy wholesale into the claim that "biological sex is a social construct." Anyone who knows basic biology knows that such an assertion is patently false. You cannot even seem to wrap your head around the basic truth that the TRAs and their allies are conflating sex and gender. Humans are sexually dimorphic. There are males and females. The fact that intersex conditions appear in a minority of the population does not change this fact. Further, many intersex people seem to take umbrage at the co-opting of their condition by the TRAs and their minions.

Biological sex is an empirical reality. Gender is a social construct.

You blocked me to "stay safe." Yet, you were never in any danger from me. You are still in no danger from me. I am not going to reveal who you are. I'm not going to start a harassment campaign against you. I'm not going to doxx you. If you anger any of the TRAs whose backsides you're kissing, I'm not sure the same thing can be said. They will TERF you without a second thought, and once you are TERFed, you are fair game for their harassment and death threats.

Being gender-critical does not make me or anyone else dangerous to you or to trans people. Being gender-critical is not the same thing as being "transphobic." Questioning the TRA agenda is not transphobia. Pointing out the TRAs violent rhetoric is not "transphobic." Pointing out TRA misogyny is not "transphobic."

I want the same thing for transgender people that I want for everyone else. I want them to have the same opportunities for jobs, education, and housing that anyone else has. I believe they deserve to be treated with common decency.  I do not believe that they should be harassed, bullied, doxxed, threatened, or ridiculed.

I do not believe that the majority of transgender people are any kind of a threat. I have only spoken out against extremists with an extreme agenda.

You call yourself a "feminist," but when you throw other women under the bus in order to appear "woke," I say you are no feminist. You are a TRA handmaiden. Hopefully, you will one day open your eyes to the truth. These people are not your friends. The instant you express the least dissent, you will be in for a very rude awakening.

Sly's FOAD Thursday: The Trans Cult, Female Erasure, Homophobia, and Reinforcement of Gender Roles

According to TRA Theory, Jaden Smith has been going around raiding trans women's closets. Just read this entitled editorial for an explanation.

"People like Jaden are starting to wear the trans uniform without actually stating that they are transgender, and they’re claiming it for themselves under the guise of gender-neutral fashion."

So now dresses are a "trans uniform."

Jaden Smith is not transgender. Why would he state that he was? He's a young adult male. He is male regardless of what he is wearing.

The genderist article gets worse.

"...whoever knew that they (Louis Vuitton) were actually selling womenswear for men?"

They're not. They're selling articles of clothing and accessories generally utilized by women. However, there is no rule stating that men cannot also utilize these items.

"Jaden seems to be up for this gender-neutral, equal clothing rights thing which allows men to wear women’s clothes without any fear of ridicule."

The more I read of this entitled mess, the more I started to wonder if it was a parody. Alas, I fear this is not the case. The author seems deadly serious about enforcing rigid rules regarding WOMEN'S CLOTHES.

By the way, I'm wondering why WOMEN'S CLOTHES are the "trans uniform." Why are MEN'S CLOTHES not the "trans uniform?" Would not trans men prefer traditionally masculine clothing? Once again, TRAs erase trans men from the equation. Why is the author not in a tizzy about Jaden's girlfriend wearing MEN'S CLOTHES?

Is the girlfriend not stealing the TRANS UNIFORM for trans men by wearing MEN'S CLOTHES? Why does the author not care about trans men's uniforms?

"There’s a reason why men wear men’s clothes and women wear women’s clothes, and why they are generally so different.  OK, I know women have been wearing trousers for decades but they’re usually a femme version of the male equivalent - and I’m not talking about unisex clothes like jeans and t-shirts."

Trousers for women are cut to fit the female body--imagine that! It isn't a "uniform" for women. Any clothing manufacturer who refuses to acknowledge that men's and women's bodies are shaped differently isn't doing their job. Women tend to have wider hips and bigger butts and thighs than men, which is why "unisex scrubs" are so annoying for women who have curvier bodies. Unisex scrubs are scrubs cut for men, but thinner women can wear them. Some women can wear pants cut for men. Most women, however, require a different cut for their trousers than the cut that works for the average man.

I never went shopping for trousers and said to myself upon finding a pair that I liked:

"Well! There's the 'femme version' of an article of MEN'S CLOTHING. We women should not be wearing MEN'S CLOTHING because we are supposed to be wearing dresses. But it's okay, as long as the trousers are 'femme coded' or some such horseshit."

No!

What I thought was:

"These might fit."

"Stereotypically, men wear trousers and women wear dresses and skirts.  That’s the ‘norm’ and it’s more than that – it’s a uniform."

The 1950s called. They want their dress codes back.

"When you get out of bed in the morning the most important thing you have to do all day is tell the world what your gender is, because from that, everything else flows."

When you're this fucking obsessed with your gender, the most important thing you have to do all day is to examine why the fuck you are this obsessed with your gender.

Upon getting out of bed in the morning, the most important thing I have to do all day is to go to the bathroom so I don't piss myself. The next most important thing I have to do all day is to take my medications and eat breakfast. The next most important thing I have to do all day is to make sure I have clothes on because it's generally frowned upon in the United States to walk around the street naked. The next most important thing after that is to attend to whatever tasks I have at hand for the day so I can contribute to my household in various fashions.

Not once--never once--do I consider the "need" to "tell the world what my gender is."

From waking up alive, everything else flows. Not from assuring the world that "man, I feel like a woman!"

This sort of rigid genderism is the kind of oppressive crap that radical feminists have been fighting against for decades. People like the author of this article are trying very damn hard to set things back decades.

"Deep down your real job is to reproduce, and showing other humans your gender is the first step on that path."

No, no, no, no, no, no, NO! Did I mention NO? World, galaxy, and Universe of NO!

My "real job" is not to reproduce. Also, how is this bullshit not counter to the TRA assertion that one is the gender they say they are just by saying it? Trans women are biologically men. If their "real job" was so important to them, would they not be driven to look as stereotypically masculine as possible so that women would be attracted to them and want to reproduce with them?

Trans women are hoping to look like women. If we are going with the whole "everything is making babies" screed, a woman-presenting person is hoping to attract a man with whom to reproduce. But trans women do not have female reproductive organs. Therefore, if a trans woman hopes to reproduce and still possesses male reproductive organs, she will have to reproduce either with a trans man who still possesses female reproductive organs or a biological woman.

So, is the author saying that trans people are shirking their REAL JOB duties because they are presenting as the opposite sex and therefore will attract the wrong sex to reproduce with? I really don't think the author thought about anything but their outrage at Jaden Smith wearing a dress and tried to make that outrage sound legit because somehow Jaden Smith in a dress is the equivalent of taking away the "TRANS UNIFORM", which consists of stereotypically feminine clothes. Whatever, let's move on.

"So, to help make it plain for anyone to see which gender you are, you put on a uniform.  Men put on trousers and have men’s haircuts, and women put on dresses and skirts, feminine tops and tights and women’s shoes to show their femininity and declare to the world that they are female."

Both of the people in the picture above are women. They are female. The one on the left has a more traditionally feminine haircut. The one on the right has a short, "masculine" hairstyle. Both are still equally female. The number of XX or XY chromosomes in a person's body does not increase or decrease with the length of their hair.

Lea Delaria, the woman on the right, is not a trans man. She is a butch lesbian. Who, apparently, is shirking her "real job" of reproducing by desiring a sexual and romantic relationship with another woman. However, we don't care about trans men anyway. There are no scathing articles about women like Delaria stealing their "uniforms."

"They have women’s hair-dos and they put use cosmetics to make themselves look nicer and more presentable and to reinforce the female uniform a bit more."

I haven't worn cosmetics in twenty years. I have long, wavy hair, which I guess is a "women's hairdo." So, I guess Peter Steele and I are both women. Our hair is a similar length and texture.

The late Peter Steele, a 6' 7" icon of femininity

"So, when some people come along and want equal clothing rights, that upsets the apple cart a bit."

The late David Bowie, professional apple-cart tipper

"Male-to-female transgender people rely on props like clothes, shoes, make-up and hairstyles to create the gender identity they want to portray to the world because most of the time their bodies alone are unable to do that.  There are a few lucky ones who don’t have to do a thing to put across a female persona, but most trans women have to work hard at it."

Fine, but how the actual fuck does Jaden Smith in a dress stop you from doing that?

You better take off that dress and eyeliner, Kurt Cobain! You are stealing the TRANS UNIFORM looking as womanly as you do, and not at all like, you know, a man in a dress wearing eyeliner.

"The danger for trans women is that if wearing what are traditionally women’s clothes becomes the norm for men too, then trans women will no longer be able to rely on these props to help them display a female gender identity - and for many, that could be a serious problem."

If your gender identity is so fragile that Jaden Smith in a dress threatens to overturn your apple cart, you need to be discussing that with a psychologist.

Woman is not a costume that one puts on. One either is or is not a woman. So, if we are to buy into the TRA screed that "trans women are women," why are they not women regardless of what they--or Jaden Smith--is wearing? Why is their gender identity so fragile that it is fractured by a man in a dress?

You better take off that dress now, Prince! How dare you rob fragile genderists of their gender identity?

"But trans people should be aware that well-known faces like Jaden Smith are starting to encroach on our territory.  They’re starting to wear the trans uniform without actually stating that they are transgender, and they’re claiming it for themselves under the guise of gender-neutral fashion. All of which begs the question: where does that leave us?"

It once again begs the question WHY DOES WHAT JADEN SMITH IS WEARING MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE TO YOUR GENDER IDENTITY?

Further, why should Jaden Smith state that he is transgender? He isn't. He is a young adult male.

I don't think Jaden has said even once "all the dresses are mine!" Jaden isn't wearing your dresses, he's wearing his dresses.

Why does it have to leave you anywhere but where you are? No-one is stopping you from wearing a dress or putting on makeup. Rather than ranting at Jaden Smith for stealing the "TRANS UNIFORM," perhaps you need to take a moment to reflect on why your gender identity is so precarious that he needs to be prevented from wearing dresses just in case it might make your gender identity feel threatened.

Biological women should also never refer to such issues as menstruation, pregnancy, or menopause because these are things that also upset the apple carts of fragile genderists.

Fuck right off with this shit.

When Libfems Seek Woke Points from TRAs

When a blog that I follow for totally non-political reasons (a writing prompts blog, to be precise) decides to try and get WOKE!!!!111!! points by trumpeting that TRANS WOMEN ARE WOMEN!!!!11!!!

Sister, those trans women you’re trying to sway into thinking that you’re just the most perfectest wittle ally would whip out their girl-dicks and piss on you as soon as look at you. All of your panderings will never be good enough. One of these days, you will slip up and say something that doesn’t quite kiss their ass from just the right angle, and then they will turn on you like they turn on everyone who disagrees with them even slightly, including other trans people.

I used to try and show the TRAs what a good wittle Wokey-Woke ally I was too. Because, after all, who in this world has it worse than trans women? I thought their insisting that XX women call ourselves “cis” was a little strange, but, okay, I agreed to do it because, after all, I haven’t had to endure the oppression they have, or so they say. I mean, it would be hard to be dysphoric, so I can give them that concession.

Then when they insisted on bellowing that TRANS WOMEN ARE WOMEN, I stood up for them. Yeah, trans women are women! We women need to embrace our trans sisters!

Then the cracks started to show.

Why weren’t we also insisting that trans men are men?

Don’t trans men matter?

Then there was the cotton ceiling. And the insistence that “biological sex is a social construct.” And the belligerent insistence that we should transition any child who doesn’t adhere to the “little girls love pink, wear frilly dresses and play with dolls, while little boys love blue, wear pants, and play with trucks” gender stereotypes.

And when I said, “excuse me, but we have been trying to deconstruct these stereotypes for decades...”

Well...

I was a TERF.

It will happen to you too, quick as a flash, no matter how hard you virtue signal.

Because TRAs hate women, even women who bow down and kiss their asses.

If you disagree with them even the teeniest bit, you will learn the hard way.

Just sayin’.

Gender Lies

Gender is a step backward toward the old saw that men and women are equally oppressed. And that’s just not true, it's one of many ploys used to maintain male power.

Performing Femininity is Not Being a Woman

Painted faces, depilated bodies, hair extensions and pumped up tits are available to all human beings. Femininity is a de-sexed masquerade. Men can be as good at it and better than women, but that does not make them women.

Letter by Tavistock Clinicians Suppressed by The Guardian

This letter sent to The Guardian by Tavistock clinicians concerned with the health risks that come with transing children was never published. The Guardian, like other mainstream media, is afraid of upsetting their masters, the TRA cult.

Read the letter at Transgender Trend, a group committed to exposing the TRA lies and harms.

My guess is the main reason girls want to or are pushed to transition is not wanting to be treated the way girls and women in modern society are treated. I know I didn't want to be. I secretly started identifying as a feminist when I was eight years old. I was labeled a "tomboy," which I hated. I would always say: "my name isn't Tom, and I'm not a boy."

The concept of "penis envy" made me see red. During my prepubescent years, the only thing I thought a penis would be useful for was being able to stand up to pee and not have to drop my trousers and crouch behind a tree when my family and I went hiking, risking being seen by a passerby or getting poison ivy on my butt.

Once I hit puberty and started my period, a hell which would continue every 3-4 weeks for the next 40 years, I would joke that I wanted to turn into a fabulous gay dude every week until my period was done. His name would be Karl, and somehow, even though I was a dumpy, frumpy, very plain Jane, Karl would be beautiful and amazing and all the guys would want him. I wasn't serious about this, I just hated my period.

These days, I'm quite sure I would have been pushed to transition, even though if I was asked I would have affirmed that I was perfectly fine with being female, it's simply that I hate how girls are treated.

New Feature Coming Soon: Sly's Feminist Book Review

Image by Dariusz Sankowski from Pixabay

Since reviewing books is a big part of what I do, it struck me that I really should be reviewing books important to the radical feminist perspective here on this blog.
Not all of the books I review will necessarily be focused on feminist activism. At times I might review a book where the focus is general politics, or a critique of the orange horror in the White House, or even a work of fiction. However, you can expect a fair number of books such as the one featured at the bottom of this post, which will, in fact, be the focus of my very first review on this blog!
If you are an evil gender-critical radfem who also happens to be a writer and you can give me a link to your ebook in the comments, please feel free to do so. I can't guarantee a particular time frame for review and I can't promise a positive review, but I can give you a little exposure. All I ask in return is a link to your review if you like it.
Sorry, I'm not in a position to review physical books at this time. I'm in the process of moving and my particular vision issues make reading physical books challenging at this point. Thank you for understanding.

Stop Trying to Correctively Coerce Lesbians into Having Sex with Trans Women

woman-adulthumanfemale
 anarchist-dog
okay. listen. youre all children apparently so im going to explain this to you like youre in first fucking grade.
trans people dont want you to fuck them. they arent forcing you to have sex with them, and they understand if you arent sexually attracted to them. what trans people are asking of you is to acknowledge them for who they are.
what this means is that if you find yourself interested in someone and they turn out to be transgender, you dont be an asshole because theyre transgender. instead of getting angry and using slurs and misgendering them, try saying “oh, sorry, im uncomfortable doing this now” and chances are they will be entirely respectful of your wishes. if they arent, then yell at them all you want, because thats fucked up. however, so long as you are respectful, they will be respectful back.
when trans people say “its bigoted to say a trans person cant be gay/lesbian” or when they say “its bigoted to say someone isnt gay/lesbian because theyre attracted to transgender people” they mean that its bigoted because, when that kind of thing is said, its implying that you dont believe they are that gender.
tl;dr: respect trans people and their gender. please. its not difficult. if you dont want to have sex/date a trans person, you dont have to say that aloud or be rude about it.
thank you and have a wonderful day.
 auntiewanda
You’re not forcing us to have sex with anyone but you are trying to change the definition of homosexuality and will call people who don’t play along bigots. Which is pretty fucking rude.
I have a question. Are biological sex and gender the same thing? Or different things?
 dreddigon
it aint rude to call a bigot a bigot lmfao

the general concept of being attracted to men or women does not and has never had anything to do with the physical form of their genitals, considering most normal people don’t actually see a person’s genitals before becoming attracted to that person and cis gay people are perfectly capable of enjoying genital shaped sex toys that don’t match their own while still not having a desire to be intimate with an actual person who doesn’t line up with their sexuality in terms of gender

stop trying to reduce people to a walking set of genitals you freak
 auntiewanda

the general concept of being attracted to men or women does not and has never had anything to do with the physical form of their genitals
Gee, whatever have homosexuals been stigmatized and reviled for all these centuries?
considering most normal people don’t actually see a person’s genitals before becoming attracted to that person
Most normal people can also tell a female human from a male human at a glance. And most normal people understand that female and male reproductive organs are pretty different.
 drpepper-is-a-woman
Genitals have ABSOLUTELY ALWAYS played a part in sexuality! What are you smoking?!
Heterosexuality = attraction to the opposite sex
Bisexuality = attraction to both sexes
Homosexuality = attraction to the same sex
Having a sexuality doesn’t reduce people to their genitals, what an awful and condescending thing to say. The point in bringing them up is that straight people and gay people are both only capable of being sexually attracted to one sex. It doesn’t mean they see everyone of that sex as walking genitals, it means that those are the only people who they’re able to be attracted to.
Straight women are only able to be attracted to males, this doesn’t mean they see them as walking penises lmfao, really telling how this sort of sentiment is always targeted at gay people.
You know who else implies that gay people are sexual deviants? HOMOPHOBES.
Hiding behind “trans activism” doesn’t make you any less of a bigot.
Y'all really love to use the “no one is saying you have to fuck trans people” but then go on to guilt and shame gay people for not being attracted to the opposite sex, regardless of identity. Sexuality isn’t based off social constructs like femininity or masculinity like y'all pretend they are. They are innate aspects of the human condition.
Stop being HOMOPHOBES.
 auntiewanda
Yeah pretty convenient how it’s only gay people who are accused of being “genital fetishists” or “reducing people to their genitals”.
 slysfreespeechspace
It’s madness, and it’s only getting worse.
I’m reminded of another genderist post about how said genderist went to sleep and dreamed they had short hair and they woke from this terrible dream to feel their beautiful long hair and know they were a woman. Because, after all, hair length makes you a man or a woman.
I don’t know about the rest of you “genital fetishists,” but I am fully aware that this is a woman:

And this is a man:

Myself, I’d be attracted to the one with long hair. It’s not that I find the one with short hair unattractive. It’s not that I find her genitals gross. It’s just that I, as a heterosexual woman, am attracted to the sort of human being who has a penis, aka, a man. But, oddly enough, I’m not looking at his dick, nor even giving it much thought. I’m looking at the shape of his face. The person with the long hair is evidently a man. He doesn’t have to drop trou for that to be obvious.
It would be really gross for a woman to try and guilt-trip me into having sex with her by suggesting that I hate women if I’m not sexually attracted to people with vaginas.
It is really gross and stupid to try and guilt-trip women who are attracted to other women, aka lesbians, into having sex with people who have penises, regardless of whether those people identify as women. Just because man, you feel like a woman, it doesn’t mean that women who are exclusively attracted to women should be coerced into having sex with you.
Also, these people are setting things back to the 1950s with their insistence on rigid gender roles. “Boys have short hair, girls have long hair. Boys wear pants, girls wear dresses. Boys play with trucks, girls play with dolls.” Stop it already!

Queer and Homosexual are Not Synonymous + The Problem With "Drag Kids"

This is a response to a new post by Meghan Murphy on Feminist Current about the troubling phenomenon of "Drag Kids."

The "queering" of vulnerable young people has gotten way out of hand.
Sadly, gay and queer are synonymous in most people's minds. Which means if you criticize any aspect of Queer Culture, you are labeled a homophobe.
There's certainly nothing wrong with being homosexual. There's nothing wrong with being a boy who prefers "feminine" things, although here we are getting into the question of gendering the way a person dresses and the activities and things that they like. However, being homosexual and expressing oneself in a way deemed by society as more consistent with the opposite sex are two different things.
As a gender critical feminist, I feel that the modern insistence on rigid gender norms is setting things way, way back, and it's doing more harm than good.

Just like beauty pageants for girls, these Drag Kid pageants expose vulnerable young people to predatory behavior by adults with a predilection for sexualizing minors.

In Support of Dr. Michele Moore

McCarthyist indeed.
There is a big push to make every aspect of life, every choice a person makes, gendered. A little girl who likes playing with trucks is certainly a boy. A boy who loves to crochet is certainly a girl.
I became a feminist because I wanted to get away from this sort of narrow-minded thinking and because I was tired of being told what girls can't do.
I was always fine with being a girl. I wasn't always fine with being a girl who likes boys because a lot of the time boys treated me like garbage, but I couldn't change the way I was wired. (I tried.) I was not fine with being told I couldn't be an air force pilot because I have ovaries. (This was in the early 1980s.) I wasn't fine with being told that my only aspirations in life should be to make babies and make sure my husband has a nice hot meal and to make sure that my house looked like a pictorial from Good Housekeeping.
Feminism was supposed to be an ideology for the advancement of equal opportunities and better treatment for women. I never minded fighting for equal opportunities and better treatment of trans people too. Hell, I was always willing to accept trans people as they were, to call them by their chosen names and to refer to them using their preferred pronouns. I don't know exactly when the feminist movement got co-opted by TRA extremists, but it extremely distressing.
The left needs to stop kowtowing to these violent extremists. That's the only chance we have of stopping them.
I support Dr. Michele Moore in being a voice for vulnerable young people.

Sly's WTF Wednesday: Queering the Primary Classroom

A response to this post at Transgender Trend.

Fantastic and terrifying information.
I've always believed in trying the least drastic intervention or treatment for any condition first rather than having a "slash and burn" approach. For instance, what if Bailey, the child making the dresses, is simply a boy who wants to wear dresses? What if Bailey is gay? Why not simply tell Bailey that it's okay to be a boy who wants to make and wear dresses? Why does wanting to make and wear dresses make you a girl?
I am an XX-chromosome heterosexual woman who despises wearing dresses. According to the twisted TRA logic, I must actually be a man because I don't like to wear dresses. After all, wearing dresses is a girly thing, amirite? I don't wear makeup either, never mind that one of the reasons I don't wear makeup is because it causes my eczema to flare up like nobody's business. Yep, totally a dude!
So much of this stuff echoes conversion therapy, except instead of trying to zap the gay out of someone's brain with shock treatments or trying to "pray away the gay," they are telling people that "you aren't gay, you were born into the wrong body. Instead of being a gay guy, you're actually a heterosexual woman who was born into a man's body. Now, all you have to do is sign up for surgery and a lifetime of hormone treatments."
