Sly's WTF Wednesday: The Trans Cult/Queer Kinkster Takeover of Pride

These are responses to a post on Feminist Current about how pride is no longer about fighting discrimination, it is now about kink and kissing TRA ass.

They should call Pride what it is now, "kink," and "Shame." It's painting genuine gay and lesbian, non-kool-aid drinking folks who just want to live their lives and love their partners with a nasty brush of progressive perversion, packaged up in a "virtuous" container of modern conversion therapy, and sponsored by big-pharm, politics, capitalist and government bodies. It's now a heterosexual kink show being pushed as inclusive and supportive of diversity, in the most Orwellian way. This lesbian does not support it.

"People should be allowed to disagree with and question ideas, without being accused of opposing human rights and equality."

I feel like I'm making statements like this all the time now but I keep thinking how as recently as 15 or 10 years ago we did not have these issues with what I see as the new intolerant Left (I swing Left myself). I used to be the one telling the Right that they were judgmental and needed to be more open minded. I was never hateful, though, and oftentimes remained friends with those people. I even fought openly for trans rights as recently as 2008. Definitely one of my biggest mistakes.

What in the fuck happened since then? It's as if all of it went off the rails in a way that a lot of people on the Right said it could. I really hate thinking that they were right about anything like that. Even my workplace has transformed itself into a self-styled "no hate zone." I can't tell you how many times I've seen naive or even innocent people get pounced on by SJWs for the most minor "offenses." Didn't put unnecessary trigger warnings? Cancelled. Even sound like you are questioning anything related to trans shit? Cancelled. They will call you a bigot and they will de-platform you and no one will be able to save you. Meghan Murphy isn't the last one to go through this. This appears to be a growing plague.

Right? I've always identified as being to the left, and I've always felt that as long as no-one is being hurt, then it isn't my business to judge. For instance with trans people, I was always the sort of person who approached others from the neck up. I wasn't concerned with what was going on below the waist. Well, the current trans activists make EVERYTHING about what is going on below the waist.
Initially, I thought I was defending the most marginalized people. After all, it can't be easy living with gender dysphoria and people calling you a "freak." Which I still think is true. However, these days if you don't agree with every aspect of the Trans Activist/Queer screed, you are a TERF. Once I saw what was really going on, I could not continue to support that.

In the United States at least, as the Right has gotten more insane and intolerant, the Left has responded in kind. We were rightfully fighting the spreading fascism of the Right, which culminated in Trump. Unfortunately, the Left is beginning to show fascist tendencies, too, in its refusal to face facts, tolerate dissent, and basically spread left-wing propaganda. The problem is many Leftist don't believe that there can be Leftist propaganda or dictators.
